it seems as though georgia was not the only student leading up to the recent outbreak of violence with russia.. while 1000 people's overnight death shocked the world - it was much more digestable when other news replaced the developments 24 hours later as georgia bowed down quickly and called it quits..
well thats apparently how israel plans to settle the next cross border dispute in the region.. a massive huge indiscriminate blow of disproportional force.. whereby everytown from which a missile is sent shall be deemed a military base.. after allegedly training the georgians and leading them to failure we apparently drew some conclusions of our own..
pros: shorter conflict time - results driven - less casualties in the long run - long term deterrance against additional conflict - terrorists wont be able to hide behind recycling bins and animal shelters
cons: huge destruction - heavy civillian toll - uncertain outcome in terms of potential for political remediation - there will be little hope for those who dont clear out fast
food for thought - we're not russia by any stretch of the imagination.. we dont feed or fuel europe nor do we account for over 140,000,000 people on this planet.. the russian neighbourhood bully policy may not work so well for cute little us..
hope none of these thoughts get the chance to be tested..
