so fresh of his blazed trail that left hillary behind for dust - obama has now gone international and started touring like the rockstar he has become..
facing a crowd of 200000 he was reported to delicately balance words of reconciliation with the old world while still standing the US position..
while american politics seem far and distant to us in the middle east and we largely tend to evaluate candidates based on how much they criticise us (dumb - i know) the potential ramifications of a successful obama are huge..
as much as i revere the asian tiger economies - i still like the US having a say.. maybe just because we're closer to them.. maybe because they are familiar to us and maybe even because we feel we have influence.. so when i think of obama breathing fresh wind into the sails of americana - i am encouraged..
on a personal note.. my aunt is very ill and its kind of tearing my family apart as everyone struggles to deal with the predicament.. its really changed the whole family-politic and it sux that this even comes up at a t ime when she is fighting for her life..
its been a challenging week in telaviv after a month of surfing in central america.. im lucky we have waves today - ill be surfing later with a friend..
wishing us all shabbat shalom..
