China discovers al Qaeda in its backyard

In a video accusing China’s Communist Government of “mistreating Muslims” a Jihadi group threatened to attack the Summer Games in Beijin. A spokesman of the Turkistan Islamic Party accuses China of “forcing Muslims into atheism and destroying Islamic schools. The “Turkistan Islamic Party” is most likely based across the border in Pakistan, where sources affirm it received training from Al Qaeda.

Weeks ago the organization claimed responsibility for a bombings across the country. The latest video shows graphics of a burning Olympics logo and explosions. This week, attackers killed 16 police and wounded more than a dozen in the Xinjiang city of Kashgar using homemade bombs.

But according to AP reports few months ago, Chinese Police broke up a terror plot targeting the Beijing Olympics while a flight crew foiled attempt to crash a Chinese plane. Per Communist Party officials in the North Western province of Xinjiang, materials seized in a January 27 raid in the regional capital, Urumqi, suggested the plotters' planned "specifically to sabotage the staging of the Beijing Olympics." Earlier reports said police found guns, homemade bombs, training materials and "extremist religious ideological materials" during the January raid in Urumqi, in which two members of the gang were killed and 15 arrested. The immediate question becomes: Is China targeted by a Terror organization? And since the material found was characterized as “extremist religious ideological”, does that mean it is al Qaeda or one of its affiliate? The answer to these questions could change the face of geopolitics in Asia.

Interestingly the Associated Press runs to frame the Terrorists to a local ethnic conflict in one of China’s Western provinces. AP wrote: “Chinese forces have for years been battling a low-intensity separatist movement among Xinjiang's Uighurs, a Turkic Muslim people who are culturally and ethnically distinct from China's Han majority.” The news agency has tried to set the agenda of the debate by scoring three points for the “radicals.” They are separatists, they are representative of a local ethnicity and they are Muslim. In addition the description of the struggle is informative: Chinese forces versus a Uighur movement. In a way a parallel to Kosovo, Chechnya and Kashmir with two projected effects. As framed by AP, the struggle of these “Terrorists” is indeed legitimate even though the means are violent. But is it the case?

Evidently the Chinese Communists are repressive against all other minorities and political dissidents. But as in Russia and India’s Wahabi cases, one would investigate if these particular Terrorists in China are local patriotic elements with liberal outlook. Not really. As under the Russians in Chechnya it looks like the Communists in China are battling another form of totalitarianism to come: Jihadism.

An affidavit filed by a Secret Service agent in U.S. District Court claims that Raymond Hunter Geisel, of Marathon, Florida, threatened to “kill, kidnap and cause bodily harm upon a major candidate for president of the United States, that is, Senator Barack Obama.”

A search of Geisel’s vehicle and a hotel room in Miami, where Geisel was attending a bail bondsman training class, found a 9-mm handgun, ammunition that included armor-piercing and rifle bullets, police-style emergency lights, body armor, a machete and two canisters of tear gas, among other military-style items, according to the document.

Agents say that classmates of Geisel reported that, between July 25-28, Geisel used a racial slur toward Obama and said “if he gets elected, I’ll assassinate him myself.”

A classmate said that, one day after class, she also heard Geisel say “that he hated George W. Bush and that he wanted to put a bullet in the president’s head.”

1998 U.S. Embassy Bombings and Denial on Jihad's Ideology

Ten years ago, on August 7, 1998, Al-Qaeda conducted simultaneous car bombings of U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Over 250 died in these attacks, including 10 Americans at the U.S. embassy in Nairobi, and 6000 were reported injured. The August 7, 2008 East African Standard reports that new intelligence reports show that the Al-Qaeda terrorists planned in Nairobi "to use a device twice as big as the one that exploded." The Kenyan Daily Nation reported that 300 of the injured subsequently died. The majority of the victims of the embassy bombings were African civilians.

But despite that terrible human tragedy and the thousands of pages of documents, indictments, reports, and studies on the 1998 embassy bombings, we still have many today who refuse to confront the ideology behind Jihadist terrorism.

On the 10th anniversary of this tragedy, Kenyan Prime Minister Raila sought to reassure Kenyans that "this Government will do everything possible to prevent us from ever again being attacked." The Kenyan Daily Nation further reported that the prime minister also would not face any "specific groups" that might support such a Jihadist ideology. Prime Minister Raila did not offer any initiatives to challenge the ideologies of Islamic supremacism or Islamism that provides the basis for Jihadist action, but instead focused of "extremism" and "disaffection" as the causes for this tragedy.

As reported by the August 7, 2008 Daily Nation, Prime Minister Raila indicated: "But he ruled out the possibility of targeting specific groups on the war on terror, saying it would be counter-productive. 'It would generate the very disaffection and extremism on which terror thrives. It would be sheer madness to target it, or its followers. Kenya will never do so. Our sole target is terrorists.'" The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation also reported: "He dispelled allegations that the terrorists were acting in the name of Islam, or that the government's anti-terror efforts were directed at Muslims. Raila said the whole world knew that Islam was a religion of peace, adding that its very name was derived from peace."

AFP also reported that President Bush observed the anniversary of the attacks by stating that it "reinforces the need to confront the terrorists, to work with our allies to bring them to justice, and to prevent such attacks from happening again." Meantime, the U.S. 2008 National Defense Strategy is based solely on fighting "extremists," in keeping with the DHS/NCTC "terror lexicon" recommendations on not using any terms such as "Jihad," "Islamist," etc.

The alleged Al-Qaeda mastermind of the 1998 embassy bombings, Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, remains at large. In addition, at least seven others named in the embassy bombing indictment are also at large. Four of the Al-Qaeda bombers were sentenced to life in prison in 2001, and two are reportedly being held at Guantanamo Bay detention center (Ahmed Ghailani and Mamdouh Mahmud Salim). The Guardian reported on August 4, 2008 that "Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who has a $5m bounty from the US on his head, was reported to have left his hideout in the coastal resort town of Malindi shortly before a raid on Saturday night." In an ongoing manhunt in Kenya for Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, police have subsequently arrested five and are seeking another man for questioning.

With the 10th anniversary of the U.S. embassy bombings and ongoing manhunt for Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, Kenyan Daily Nation has been publishing a series of reports that are allegedly from a diary kept by Fazul that was on a laptop captured by the Kenyan authorities. On August 4 and August 5, the Daily Nation published stories "Diary of a terrorist: Fazul's journey to Pakistan," "Fazul's military quest lands him in Afghanistan," and "Fazul joins camp to begin Jihad." In the alleged diary excepts, Fazul reportedly states that he was led to Islamic supremacism by "the Sudanese school of thought [that] emerged... [that] consisted of a mixture of Muslim Brotherhood and Salafist ideas." (This is the same Muslim Brotherhood that Peter Mandaville has urged engagement with in West Point publications and the same Salafists that Matthew Levitt has suggested "have credibility when it comes to deradicalizing others.") In addition, the McClatchy newspaper chain has done a feature article on the Daily Nation's "Diary of a terrorist" series. These "diary" reports could certainly be apocryphal. But legitimate or not, the willingness of the Daily Nation to publish such anti-American screeds without also offering a challenge to the ideology of the Islamic supremacism behind them is troubling.

The alleged diary quotes by embassy bomber Fazul Abdullah Mohammed reportedly include: "We must, of course, raise our children with the love of jihad. We have to raise a new generation with an education totally opposed to the Western education that is imposed on us."

This quote concisely demonstrates the root of the problem with Islamic supremacism in general as a supremacist ideology that rejects values of equality and liberty, and seeks to promote an alternative Islamic supremacist value system. Such Islamic supremacist goals remain the root cause and motivation behind the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings, even though Prime Minister Raila and President Bush don't understand that as they continue to only tactically pursue "extremists" and "terrorists," without ever honestly asking why so many died.

Ten years is a long time to clearly remember such a tragedy.

"Never again" eventually becomes "never mind." Our national outrage at Jihadists and their ideology has transformed into national policies that merely seek to discourage "extremism," and many of our government leaders don't care that no one can define what "extremism" is.

If these are the circumstances 10 years after the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings, will we be having the same discussion on September 11, 2011 as well?

I've covered the use of extremist textbooks at the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County in northern Virginia since May, when the county supervisors voted to continue to allow ISA to lease county property even though it uses textbooks which included virulently anti-Semitic and anti-Christian language and teachings. The county punted the issue back to the State Department, which has refused to act on recommendations in 2007 by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom to close ISA unless the school materially changed the textbooks to remove the hateful language. Neither did the State Department act when USCIRF issued a new report reiterating that ISA's textbooks "extremely troubling passages that do not conform to international human rights norms." In late June, the county supervisors refused to revoke the ISA's lease of county property and punted the issue again back to the State Department, even though it could have done so without penalty. Congressman Frank Wolf, who represents the ares in the House, became involved and wrote letters to Secretary Rice in June and in July, urging her to determine what is being taught at the school and what to do about it.

Having not received a satisfactory response to either letter, Rep. Wolf wrote again last week, this time with more ammo to try to force the State Department into decisive action. He commissioned a special independent study of the legal status of the ISA by the Congressional Research Service (an issue which Patrick Poole examined on his website and I did here). That study concluded that the ISA qualifies as a "foreign mission" under U.S. law, since it is "substantially owned or effectively controlled by...a foreign government," namely the Saudis. Accordingly, the State Department can order ISA off the county property if the Secretary determines "that such divestiture is 'necessary to protectthe interests of the United States.'" Rep. Wolf again called for Secretary Rice "to convene a meeting of relevant State Department and USCIRF representatives... to conclusively determine what precisely is being taught at ISA."

As I wrote on June 12, the ISA and its 1999 valedictorian, Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, represent a case study in the process by which American-raised Muslims morph into Islamic jihadists ("homegrown radicalization."). EDIT: Patrick Poole pointed out this post, "Behind the Veil at the Islamic Saudi Academy," with accounts from former ISA faculty that "An atmosphere of deception was at the heart of everything that they did (at ISA)" and thst students "had been taught to hate Jews and that Christians were awful." Yet the State Department and Fairfax County supervisors duck, hide, and punt the issue back and forth, failing to act in the best interests of county citizens and the U.S. This is my seventh post on this issue since May, and I am no more optimistic that they will act than I was in May.

Arabdemocracy: Mauritania: Obituary for a young democracy

541 days was the life span of Mauritanian democracy. This small African country, full member of the Arab league had been very much on the periphery of events in the Middle East and North Africa until it experienced its first democratic Presidential elections (March 2007) since it gained independence from France in 1960. Run by a one-party state apparatus under the leadership of successive Army officers, Mauritania was familiar to coups and power struggles. But the military junta behind the 3rd August 2005 coup that ended of the Twenty years dictatorship of Colonel Tava kept its promises to facilitate the transition to a civilian administration through the ballot box. This was unheard of in the Arab world and the small republic was making the headlines. The elections came and went praised for being transparent and free of violence and intimidation. The emerging republic appeared on a straight but narrow course, fighting off tough economic conditions and Islamic militancy.
Three years later the experiment has ended and the generals are back in power declaring martial law and clamping down on any opposition. The conflict between the President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdallahi and the military hierarchy had been brewing for weeks but the deeper reasons, which will no doubt include foreign interference, will become clearer over the coming days. His whereabouts and those of a number of his ministers are unknown. While news reports on Al-Jazeera revealed small groups of supporters roaming the streets chanting their support while the coup unfolded, the majority of the population is likely to keep a low profile until the dust has settled. The African Union was among the first to condemn the move and so did the UN and the US. The French response came suspiciously muddled. Meanwhile Colonel Kaddafi is investigating while other Arab leaders remain silent.

What the military gave in August 2005, the military took away in August 2008. The dawn of another bleak day for Democracy in the Arab world.

و حين وجدوا أنهم مختلفون بدأوا في الشجار ، و تمسك كل منهم برأيه و راحوا يتجادلون و يتهم كل منهم الآخر أنه كاذب و مدع ، بالتأكيد لاحظت أن الأول أمسك بأرجل الفيل و الثاني بخرطومه, و الثالث بذيله، كل منهم كان يعتمد على برمجته و تجاربه السابقة ، لكن هل التفتّ إلى تجارب الآخرين؟
من منهم على خطأ؟

في القصة السابقة ، هل كان أحدهم يكذب؟ بالتاكيد لا ، أليس كذلك؟من الطريف أن الكثيرين منا لا يستوعبون فكرة أن للحقيقة أكثر من وجه، فحين نختلف لا يعني هذا أن أحدنا على خطأ! قد نكون جميعا على صواب لكن كل منا يرى مالا يراه الآخر .إن لم تكن معنا فأنت ضدنا!
لأنهم لا يستوعبون فكرة أن رأينا صحيحا لمجرد أنه رأينا ، لا تعتمد على نظرتك وحدك للأمور فلا بد من أن تستفيد من آراء الناس، لأن كل منهم يرى ما لا تراه... فرأيهم الذي قد يكون صحيحا أو قد يكون مفيد لك !

بينما كان الأب يقوم بتلميع سيارته الجديدة .. إذا بالابن ذو الأربع سنوات يلتقط حجراً ويقوم بعمل خدوش على جانب السيارة
وفي قمة غضبه، إذا بالأب يأخذ بيد ابنه ويضربه عليها عدة مرات..

بدون أن يشعر أنه كان يستخدم 'مفتاح انجليزي' مفك يستخدمه عادة السباكين في فك وربط المواسير
في المستشفى، كان الابن يسأل الأب متى سوف تنموا أصابعي؟

يبدو أن عصر البلوتوث شارف على الانتهاء لتخلفه تقنية جديدة اسرع وأفضل وأكثر كفاءة،

حيث عرضت شركة نوكيا المتخصصة في تصنيع الأجهزة المحمولة تقنية جديدة للاتصال اللاسلكي قصير المدى وأطلقت عليها اسم ويبري Wibree، ففي مؤتمر اقامته الشركة استعرضت من خلاله عددا من الأجهزة المحمولة الحديثة التي تحمل عددا من التقنيات الجديدة كان من بينها تقنية ويبري، حيث اكدت الشركة طرحها لهذه التقنية عبر أجهزتها بدأ من الربع الثاني لعام 2007.

وتتميز تقنية ويبري الجديدة بفعالة أكثر ومن الممكن استعمالها على تلك الأجهزة غير المزودة لغاية اليوم بنظام اتصالات لاسلكي قصير المدى وستحل تدريجياً محل تكنولوجيا "بلوتوث" الحالية المعيارية للهواتف المحمولة والطابعات والكمبيوترات الدفترية،

وتطلبت التكنولوجيا الجديدة خمس سنوات لتطويرها، وستعمل Wibree على موجة الراديو 2.4جيجاهرتز وستسمح بتبادل البيانات من مسافة أقصاها 10أمتار وبسرعة قصوى تساوي ميجابايت في الثا! نية بيدا من تقنية "بلوتوث" والتي لا تتجاوز عشر كيلوبايت في الثانية، وستتمتع التقنية الجديدة بخاصية الاستهلاك المتدني للطاقة اضافة إلى فعاليتها بنسبة عشر مرات أكثر مقارنة بتكنولوجيا "بلوتوث".

وبفضل استهلاك كمية ضئيلة من الطاقة إلى جانب استعمال رقاقة إلكترونية صغيرة الحجم سيتمكن المهندسون في إدخال Wibree إلى تلك الأجهزة التي لا يمكنها العمل بتكنولوجيا "بلوتوث". ويمكن للساعات ولوحة مفاتيح وفأرة الكمبيوتر وكاميرا الويب أن تستعمل بدورها هذه التكنولوجيا الثورية، سامحة بالتالي تجاوز بعض العقبات التي تواجهها تكنولوجيا "بلوتوث" الحساسة التي لا تملك القدرات الدفاعية الكافية لصد المتطفلين الذين يستغلون ثغراتها من أجل سرقة بيانات الهواتف المحمولة.

كما يمكن أن تعمل تلك التقنية على أكثر من جهة في نفس الوقت، بمعنى أنه يمكن ايصالها بسماعة الاتصال وبنفس الوقت توصل بجهاز الكمبيوتر، وفي نفس الوقت أيضا امكانيه استقبال ملفات عبر هذه التقنية، مما يعطيها مجالا أوسع،

الشيخ محي الدين الإدلبي (1219-1278هـ/1804-1861م): قاضي الشافعية، أحد العلماء الأعلام، ومن مدرسي المسجد الأموي، أخذ عن علماء الشام ومن أجلهم ( الشيخ عبد الرحمن الكزبري، والشيخ سعيد الحلبي، والشيخ حامد العطار) وكان مقصوداً في علم البلاغة. نسب الشيخ محيي الدين الإدلبي : محيي الدين بن عبد العزيز بن محيي الدين بن درويش بن إبراهيم بن محمد ابن بدر الدين ابن علي بن عمر بن يوسف بن محمد بن ركن الدين عمر الباعوني بن ناصر الدين محمد بن أبي الحسن علي بن عيسى بن القطب الجليل السيد عبد القادر الجيلاني ابن أبي صالح موسى، الملقب بجنكي دوست ابن عبد الله بن يحيى الزاهد ابن محمد بن داود بن موسى الثاني بن عبد الله بن موسى الجون ابن عبد الله المحض ابن الحسن المثنى ابن الإمام الحسن ابن أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنهم.

حين ذهب آلان ليلبي دعوة ماريسا – العاملة ضمن فريق موقع جوجل، لندوة حول بعض الحقائق البسيطة عن شركة وموقع جوجل، ثم عاد ليكتب عن انطباعاته عن هذه الندوة، فإنه تلقى هدية نادرة، يصعب أن تتكرر مع غيره، خاصة إذا كان واحدًا منا، ولعل موقع جوجل مصر يغير من ظني هذا يوما!
عاد آلان ليخبرنا بالنقاط التالية:
سبب بساطة تركيب صفحة البحث على موقع جوجل هو قلة خبرة مؤسسي الموقع بلغة HTML وهما أرادا واجهة تحكم بسيطة سريعة، بل إن أيقونة ابحث (Submit) استغرقت الوقت الطويل حتى جاء وقت عرضها، وكانت الطريقة الوحيدة لتفعيل البحث هو ضغط زر الإدخال Enter

بسبب بساطة تركيب صفحات عرض النتائج، وبناء على تعليق جاء من أحد مجربي الموقع، والذي ظل منتظرا عرض بقية النتائج، ذلك أن الصفحة لم توضح ما إذا كانت هذه كل النتائج التي ستعرضها، لهذا بدأت جوجل في عرض السطر السفلي، سطر حقوق الملكية محفوظة.

أحد مظاهر تطوير فكرة البحث على انترنت، جاءت حين وفر الموقع خاصية تصحيح الأخطاء الإملائية، واقتراح كلمات بحث للمستخدمين، والتي ضاعفت من أرقام إحصائيات البحث على الموقع. البحث عن أفضل مكان لوضع هذه الاقتراحات أشار على أن أفضل النتائج جاءت حين وضعوها في بداية عرض نتائج البحث، مكانها اليوم!

أيقونة “ضربة حظ” أو I Feel Lucky لا تستعمل إلا نادرًا، لكن اختبارات حذف هذه الأيقونة أشارت إلى رغبة المستخدمين والزوار في بقاء هذه الأيقونة، ذلك أنها أصبحت جزءًا من تجربة جوجل.

تطبيق أوركت (Orkut) مشهور جدًا في البرازيل، وهو نتاج تفكير مهندس عبقور ضمن فريق عمل جوجل، أعطته شركته مساحة حرة ليبدع فيها من وحي إلهامه، وتركت له الحبل على الغارب، ولهذا لا يشترك هذا التطبيق مع بقية تطبيقات جوجل من حيث واجهة التطبيق.

تجري جوجل تغييرات صغيرة وعديدة ومتكررة، وفي بعض الأحيان يختبرون خواص جديدة مع عدد محدود من المستخدمين القادمين من موقع بعينه، دون معرفتهم بهذا الأمر، ثم تقيس ردود أفعال هذه العينة التي تجهل أنها عينة اختبارات!

لدى جوجل أكبر فريق مترجمين في العالم.
تستخدم جوجل قاعدة 20 - 5 بالمائة، فعلى 20% من المستخدمين استخدام خاصية ما، حتى توفرها جوجل ضمن القوائم الأساسية، وعلى 5% منهم استخدام خاصية بحث بعينها، قبل أن ترفعها جوجل إلى خيارات البحث المتقدم.
اكتشفت جوجل أن نتائج اختبارات العينة الصغيرة من المستخدمين، تشابه تلك لجمهور المتعاملين مع خدمات الموقع، ولهذا يجرون اختبارات متواصلة ودائمة لمعرفة ردود أفعال المستخدمين تجاه جديد تطبيقاتهم وحاليها.

اسم جوجل جاء نتيجة خطأ إملائي غير مقصود، إذ كان المؤسسان يريدان حجز اسم Googol في البداية! (برجاء قراءة الملحوظة أسفل النص)

تطبيق البريد جيـميل Gmail كان مستخدمًا داخل شركة جوجل لمدة سنتين، قبل إطلاقه للعامة! هذه الفترة أسفرت عن الوصول لنتيجة مفادها أن هناك ستة أنواع من مستخدمي البريد الإلكتروني، وهو ما يوفره موقع Gmail من خدمات!
تقرأ شركة جوجل كل الرسائل البريدية التي تصلها وتناقش كل الأفكار التي تعرض عليها. يمكنك الوثوق أن رسالتك قرأها أحدهم، أما لماذا لم يرد عليك، فهذه قصة أخرى!
يستخدم موظفو جوجل 20% من أوقات دوامهم/عملهم بالشركة في العمل على مشاريعهم الخاصة، وإذا أثبتت جدواها، شاركت جوجل برأس المال لتطوير وتنمية هذه المشاريع.
لدى جوجل سياسة صارمة، أي نتيجة بحث يجب أن تظهر خلال نصف ثانية (أقل من 500 ملي ثانية).
من ضمن سياسات جوجل: أعط المستخدمين ما يحتاجونه - حين يحتاجونه!

كلما أدخل غرفة أرى الجميع ينظر إلي ويتهامسون (وكأن الحديث عني)…

في البداية لم أعرف ماذا يحدث؟ ولكني كما أظن سمعت أصواتا لأناس غرباء ورأيت وجوها غريبة -أول مره أراها وأسمع صوتها- في بادئ الأمر ظننت أني مريض (في الواقع أني هكذا دائما أظن بأني مريض)… عدت ودخلت غرفة أخرى وأخرى إلى أن دخلت آخر غرفة وإذا بهم يلحقوا بي ويدخلون الغرفة خلفي ويغلقون الباب من خلفهم وبدؤا بالصياح: لقد سأمنا منك، لقد تعبنا منك طالما تحملنا حماقاتك وغبائك. اليوم سوف نرد لك الدين اليوم سوف نعاقبك، وأدخلوني قفص أطلقوا عليه قفص الاتهام – (في الواقع لم يكن هناك قفص ولم يكن هناك شيء ولكنهم هكذا أسموه)

لقد خفت منهم كثيرا وقلت في نفسي: يا إلهي ماذا ينتظرني؟ ماذا سيحل بي؟…

في هذه الأثناء رن الهاتف وهممت بالرد علية… أريد فقط أن أصل إلى الهاتف لأخبر المتصل ماذا يحدث حولي ويكون هناك شاهد على هذا. توسلت إليهم ولكن دون جدوى فقد اجتمعوا علي ولم يدعوني أتحرك وباستهزاء أوقفوني وأقعدوني على أحد الكراسي وبدؤا باستجوابي….. يا إلهي إنهم يعرفون كل شيء عني… يعرفون أين أذهب ومتى أعود… يعرفون كل كلمة قلتها يعرفون كل حماقاتي وغبائي… كل ما قالوه عني كان صحيحًا نعم كل شيء صحيح كيف عرفوا ذلك؟ وبعد أن أنهوا حديثهم توصلوا إلى قرار اعتبروه الحكم النهائي علي وهو أني (مجنون)!!!!! بعد أن سمعت التهم وبعد أن سمعت القرار وقفت بشموخ مدافعا عن نفسي قائلا: (والكلام موجها إليهم جميعا) نعم أنا شخص مجنون… أنتم أخبروني ما اسم من يتحدث إلى المكاتب والكراسي والأسرة… ما اسم من يتناقش مع الطاولات والأبواب والنوافذ… أخبروني ما اسم من يتحدث إلى بنطاله وقميصه وقبعته؟…….. عم السكون الغرفة.. وقتها أحسست بنشوة الانتصار، وبدأت بالابتسام رافعا رأسي للأعلى، ولكنّ صوت أتى من أحدهم قطع علي فرحتي بالانتصار (كما اعتقدته) وقد كان المتحدث القبعة وكانت أول مره تدخل في النقاش قالت: أقول عنه مجنون بين العقلاء (أنت أيتها القبعة تقولي هذا… أنت الوحيدة التي يجب أن تدافع عني فأنت تعرفين ما يدور برأسي وتعرفين بماذا أفكر وتعرفين عني أكثر مما أعرف أنا) ….. ضحك الجميع. ووقفت مذهولا… أهذا ما توصلتم إليه (أنتم العقلاء)… غاضبا خرجت من الغرفة ومن المنزل حتى وصلت إلى آخر الحي ما زلت أسمعهم وهم يضحكون بصوت عال فوضعت يدي بإذني وبأت بالغناء وبالقفز والجري بالطرقات لكي لا أسمعهم فصوتهم مزعج جدًّا… لكن الشيء الغريب في الأمر أن الأشخاص اللذين كانوا يسيرون في الطرقات (وهم كثر) لم ترمش لهم عين بعد أن رأوني بهذه الحالة.. وكأني غير موجود…

سألت نفسي وقتها…. لماذا؟؟هل أنا مجنون

أيوب: بسيطة يا سيدي، فنصف الوزراء الذين يتحدثون باسمي وبيدهم لقمتي ومصيري لا أعرف أسماءهم، وبعضهم لا أسمع به إلا عند تشكيل الوزارة. على كل حال، أهلاً وسهلا، أية خدمة؟
الصوت: تعرف أن الاستعدادت بذكرى الإعلان عن حقوق الإنسان قد بدأت.
أيوب: أي انسان! الإنسان الآلي؟
الصوت: لا. لا. الإنسان العادي الذي من لحم ودم ومشاعر. الإنسان الذي يزرع لنأكل، ويغزل لنلبس ويموت لنحيا.
أيوب: وما علاقتي أنا بهذا الموضوع؟
الصوت: إن الأمم المتحدة معنية هذا العام بإقامة احتفالها السنوي بهذه المناسبة في إحدى دول العالم الثالث.
أيوب: ألم تجدوا سوى دول العالم الثالث مكانا للاحتفال بحقوق الإنسان؟
الصوت: لا. لأن هذه الحقوق في تلك البلاد وخلافاً للتقارير ما زالت موضع شك. ولهذا وجّهت الدعوة إلى كبار الكتاب والفنانين والتكنوقراطيين للمساهمة في هذا الاحتفال ليأتي فيلماً وثائقياً وشهادة حية أقف من خلالها على واقع هذا الإنسان وطموحاته، وعلى العوامل التي تجعل وتيرة نموه أقل بكثير من طاقاته وإمكاناته. وأريدك أن تشرف عليه شخصياً من حيث استقبال المدعوين وملاطفتهم، وترتيب أماكن جلوسهم، ومراجعة كلماتهم. انني أعتمد كثيراً على خبرتك وحكمتك في نجاح هذا الاحتفال.
أيوب: ولكنني تركت الأدب والسياسة منذ زمن بعيد.
الصوت: هذا ليس موضوعاً سياسياً أو أدبياً، إنه موضوع إنساني . هل تخليت عن إنسانيتك أيضاً؟
أيوب: لا. ولكنك فاجأتني بمهمة خطيرة ليس عندي أي استعداد نفسي أو معنوي للاضطلاع بها. ليس عندي حتى الثياب اللائقة لأظهر بها في هذه المناسبة.
الصوت: سترتدي ثياب الأمم المتحدة.
أيوب: حسناً . وزمان ومكان الاحتفال؟
الصوت: كل هذه المعلومات ستصلك برقياً في حينه.
أيوب: والتعويضات!
الصوت: ستكون مغرية وبعملة البلد المضيف.
أيوب: لا أنا يساري ولا أقبض إلا بالدولار.
الصوت: وكيف صرت يسارياً بين ليلة وضحاها؟
أيوب: كما صار الأستاذ محمد حسنين هيكل. هل هو أحسن من غيره؟
الصوت: جهّز نفسك للسفر فوراً.

أيوب: وما أن وصلت إلى مكان الاحتفال حتى هرع كبير الموظفين المكلّف بمرافقتي للاطلاع على كافة الاجراءات المتخذة، يشرح لي الآمال المعلّقة على هذا الاحتفال وسط بحر من الوفود والصحفيين والمصورين والمراسلين الذين تقاطروا من جميع أرجاء آسيا وافريقيا وأمريكا اللاتينية: هذا يعبيء غليونه، وذلك يشعل سيجاره، والذي يراجع كلمته، والذي يختصر منها، أو يضيف عليها، وضحكات من هنا وتعليقات من هناك. وما أن بلغت القاعة المخصصة للاحتفال حتى صرخت بمرافقي: ما هذه الفوضى؟ من سمح لهم بالجلوس بهذا الترتيب العشوائي؟
المرافق: لقد اختار كل وفد مكاناً وجلس فيه وليس عندي أية سلطة تحول دون ذلك.
أيوب: أما أنا فعندي مثل هذه السلطة. ثم من هؤلاء الذين يجلسون في الصف الأول ويلفون ساقاً على ساق بكل هذه العظمة؟
المرافق: وفود من الدول العربية.
أيوب: وماذا جاؤوا يفعلون بهذه المناسبة؟ من وجّه اليهم الدعوة؟ ما من مؤتمر أو مهرجان في مناسبة حقوق الانسان، أو حقوق الملاحة، أو حتى حقوق الفقمة.. إلا وتراهم جاهزين بكلماتهم وتوصياتهم وبرقيات تأييدهم واستنكاراتهم. يا إلهي. هل ينامون بثيابهم في المطارات؟ أخرجهم حالا من القاعة كلها، بل حتى لو وجدت في هذا المبنى ولو “تواليت عربي” سأقدم استقالتي وأنسحب.
المرافق: ألا يمكن أن نسمح لهم بالبقاء ولو كمراقبين؟
أيوب: مراقبين على ماذا؟ على حقوق الإنسان؟ هل أنت أجدب؟ هل يؤتمن الثعلب على الدجاج؟ هيّا … ليغادروا المكان، ولتقف جميع الوفود في الزاوية ريثما أعيد ترتيب الجلوس حسب هذه اللائحة التي أعددتها بنفسي. فهناك أصول ومقامات يجب أن تراعى في مثل هذه الأحوال.
المرافق: وهذه لائحة يا سيدي بأهم البحوث والموضوعات التي ستلقى في الاحتفال. هل أتلوها عليك؟
أيوب: طبعاً، وبسرعة.
المرافق: كلمة الافتتاحة سيلقيها الدكتور خوريا موريا من الأرجنتين عن الجذور التاريخية لحقوق الإنسان عند جان جاك روسو. ثم يعقب عليه الدكتور غوهو موهو من أفريقيا الوسطى بمقولة ديمومة الإنسان لهيغل.
أيوب: عظيم ولكن أسرع.
المرافق: ثم هناك التكنولوجيا ومستقبل الإنسان.
الاسطورة وخيال الانسان.
