Well, happy to see there are some reasons to laugh as well. Seems reality can be much more funny then any joke you might hear - Egyptians may sue Jews over the Exodus (or hebrew version):
A dean at Egypt’s University of Al-Zaqaziq is preparing a lawsuit against “all the Jews of the world,” accusing them of stealing gold during the exodus.
The university’s dean of law, Nabil Hilmi, told the Egyptian weekly newspaper Al-Ahram Al-Arabi the Jews during the exodus “stole from the Pharaonic Egyptians gold, jewelry, cooking utensils, silver ornaments, clothing and more …”
Asked why cooking utensils might have been taken, Hilmi said “… this had been the Jews’ twisted way throughout history; they seek to cause a minor problem connected with the needs of everyday life so as to occupy people with these matters and prevent them from pursuing them to get back the stolen gold …”
Hilmi said the “debt” could be rescheduled over 1,000 years, with the addition of the cumulative interest during that period.
Hmm.. I wonder if all European countries can now sue the Scandinavians for all the gold pillaged by the Vikings…

Where’d they Exodus to? Could this support the Biblical claim to the "Palestinian land"? Woohoo!

The Talmud (Sanhedrin 91a) says that this happened once.
A suit was brought by the Egyptians to Alexander the Great. So Alexander ruled that the Egyptians had a point, and after the compensation for 420 years of unpaid Israelite slave labor for 600,000 was deducted they could call it even.
I should also point out that only Copts (app. 10% of Egypt’s population) are real descendents of the ancient Egyptians.

Yes, I believe the Egyptians have an airtight case to argue at the Hague. However, being familiar with old testament accounts of the plagues called down upon the poor, downtrodden Egyptian minotities by the Hebrew slave bully-boys, I would add eco-terrorism, the use of biological weapons (locusts) and mass murder of Egyptian first borns to the charges. The G-d of the Jews will be, for the present, an unindicted co-conspirator. I will volunteer my considerable legal skills to the prosecution. I mean, who the hell do you people think you are anyway? G-d? You can’t pardon the JEWS!

Shouldn’t they have to first prove that they are the same people who lived in egypt at that time and not arabic islamic invaders who have no ties to king tut and the rest? Perhaps the pharoes are about reincarnate as they planned all those years back?

This is an old and long-debated issue. The consensus view is that there was no theft, but that the Egyptians freely gave their riches to the Israelites, either as gifts or as reparations.
So what’s wrong with this suit besides res judicata (already decided by Alexander) and evidentiary problems (how to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the riches were stolen)?
Well, there’s always the statute of limitations.
But more importantly, if the plaintiffs are accepting the Torah as having evidentiary value, then they must also concede that G-d promised the Holy Land to the descendants of Jacob. I think there may be a basis to strike a bargain here.

What also needs to be taken into consideration is that the Romans stole every last item while sacking Jerusalem, which might be stored in the vast vault system at the vatican… and thoughout the past 1400 years of islam, they have stolen everything from Jews thoughout the ME… so what are they sueing for since they already took everything?
I hope gwb sees this and realizes how insane the people in the ME are and how useless it is to try and talk reason to them. There is no reasoning with the insane.
I would like to see the Egiptians pay the Jews retribution for 210 years of hard labor!
