A Peek into a Mind

A Bunch

Hila! I’m waiting for Ariel to arrive to Ashkelon and call me, so we could meet to discuss the TV show I’m working on. Since it’s really hot and my mind is in advanced melting process, I’d thought of linking to some snips of the net. Something I haven’t done in a long time.

  • I’ve finally got a current picture of Hila. She’s a very close friend that moved to the US and married. I haven’t seen her in a couple of years but we’re contact through the net. Was very happy to get the picture…
  • A cool site: When I was Little - people show pictures of themselves when they were little - next to a current picture. Browsing the site is a real fun. Also cool is this Error 404 page.

Anyway, I’m a little frustrated of HotOrNot, since 2 (good looking) girls chose to meet me using the site and I can’t send them any emails or anything unless I pay (which I’m not going to). Ho well.

To tell the truth, I’ve never been excited from all those matching sites on the net. When I was at my 2nd year in university a friend of mine wanted to start such a site and asked me if I’m willing to write the code needed. So I’ve sat for a month, visited most big matching sites on the net (specially the Israeli ones) to see how things works. It all looked really impersonal and I got the impression people are using them more to watch pictures then anything else. Watched some female friends browsing those sites - man, those girls are lethal! They placed an X over almost all guys, for the tiniest reasons, you wouldn’t believe. (You need to see a girl flips through 200 profiles of guys and then say “there are absolutely no guys here!”. It drove me nuts. I guess they expect a picture of a knight on a white horse with the name Prince Charming to come up next.)

Anyway, still related to the subject, Accordion Guy was saved from “New Girl”. Apparently he wrote some stuff about his new girlfriend, and then few people who cares about him and know who she really is warned him. In time. Sometimes you better double check who you’re dating… He also posted some updates on that story.

Noticed on Renata’s blog that Ran is ending his military basic training. Congrats, Ran!

    Other nice sites:

  • Edgar Governo - Historian of Things That Never Were - collection of linkes to timelines made by people through out the net for different TV shows, books, comics, movies and games.
  • Nervous Industries - A site that is even nominated for Webby award. The idea is this: “We’re trying to reacquire the misused acronym of LMAO and use it for good. Now, LMAO stands for Land Mail Art Objects. These are objects that anybody can make: notebooks, photo albums, boxes, mix tapes, that are sent all over the world, to anyone that signs up for them here, and finally returned to their original owners.”
  • Emotion Eric - One of the most enjoying, silliest sites I know. Eric accepts requests from visitors to visualise an emotion and take a picture of himself (and friends) making that emotion. Some of the things are just dead funny!
  • Become David Still - David is donating his whole identity. In this great-looking site he will teach you everything you need to know to be him, allowing you to send emails in his name and more!

Ho, and finally, I’m King Arthur!

Well, u– um, can we come up and have a look?

What Monty Python Character are you?
