| Got my ADSL running… |
That’s it… Today I recived my ADSL modem and got it running. It’s so nice to actually SURF the net, instead of LIMP in it. Still, I did not do that for the speed - it just turns out to be cheaper then a regular dial up!
I didn’t want to order ADSL befor, since I’m hardly at home (only weekends, and not every weekend, too). I got a serious (and free) internet connection in university, and my mom uses the internet for only 1-2 hours a day, sometimes even less. The only the time the internet is is of serious use is during the weekends when I come. So I figured I don’t need any serious connection, just the cheapest non-limiting one. Turns out that with all the current discounts for broadband internet in Israel, it’s cheaper to have a 256Kb ADSL then a dial-up… Ho well, and it’s way faster too, so who cares…
