Here is something that pissed me off. There are plenty of news sites, and you can actually see what’s the site’s opinion by the art they use. I went to read what European news sites report about the attack in my university. I also reached the german Spiegle.de. And what have I saw, above and beside the article reporting the 7 dead and 80 wounded? I found these:
Have a look - the left eyes are from a picture of Sharon, Israeli prime minister, and the right is of Arafat. Tell me, according to the picture, who is the evil guy here? Who’s being showed as a conspiring jew and who is being shown as a saint dreamer ? This shows taking pro-palestinian stand and demonizing Israel and not objectivity. They could have taken any other pictures, but they chose these.
Another example:
A picture of lone, crying, palestinian mother, and another picture beside it of an Israeli tank. Why isn’t it a picture of a crying israeli mother who lost her baby and mother in a terrorist attack, and armed terrorists marching in the streets??
Now tell me Israelis shouldn’t feel like “the whole world is against us, just like it always was”.
Assholes.

You are right and well done to notice these details. Another example in the magazine Times" there was a while ago an article about the Intifada which was titled
"Sharon’s War" Objectivity hm?

Your post isn’t without a point about those specific pictures, although I think you should consider analysing the articles too. On the other hand, I wouldn’t be surprised that Palestinians would find Der Spiegel to have a bias against their side, with this picture for example:

A recent study (PDF in German) came to the conclusion that German media had an anti-Israel bias in their Mideast reports. Well, I read part of the study (it’s not an easy and light reading) and I think the extreme sensitivity of the method used would allow to prove that the German press is anti everything - which is fine with me, after all the media ought to be critical. For example, the study believes that describing Israel’s use of tanks, attack helicopters, F 16, etc … to be biased language. While other parts of the study were perfectly legitimate in my eyes, this was just goig too far. Watching for bias is ok, but overdoing it is silly.
I too see the bias against Israel, here in Canada, every day, it is often said, Israel is the stronger and should therefore always bow out…sad and unfortunate…

Thanks for pointing the pictures out. The israelies have been trying to get along with these stinky people for 3000 years. Unfortunately, the Israelies are surrounded by crappy Arab nations who wouldnt hesitate to steal the very small amount of land that they fought for and won. The Israelis have the power to totally eliminate the Palestinians but dont because they have a heart. Do you actually think that any jew would be left if the Palestinians were the strong ones. I sincerely doubt it. The Palestinians (alot of them not all because that isnt fair) are very religious finatics that wouldnt hesitate to kill every israeli and make the land another stinky and miserable arab nation. Something needs to be done before these people sneak in some sort of weapon of mass destruction and kill everyone.
It is reality. You cannot change it at all. Even If you take millions of pictures for Sharon, IT WILL REMAIN THE SAME. His devilish eyes reflect his devilish heart. Not only he kills Palestanians daily, but also he is killing the Israeli people. You don’t expect to kill some one’s father and he will remain silent. He could make peace instead of war. But he had chosen the hard way just to look in the view of a hero in his people’s eyes.
Finally, remember the peacful period between the two uprisings. I personally had too much Israeli friends. But not any more

Be realistic.
Aren’t these tow (fully loaded) soldiers not more than two criminals. They have just shot dead a palestanian boy and they are taking pictures with his body to show to their girl friends.
FOR GOD SAKE (If you know God), be reasonable. Stop killing and live peacfully. This is the solution. I can tell you that since Sharon took over the rule in Israel, you are being more and more hated in the whole world. before "intifada" - which was started by Sharon - you had the chance to be accepted by most of Arabs and the rest of the world. But I don’t expect you to be loved with dozens of innocent people being killed daily.
Think…. And RE think about giving the peace a chance.
I know Arabs very well. The more you kill of them, the more they will think of revenge.

Both Palestinians and Israelis are equally to blame.
Some speak for immediate end to israeli "atrocities" and occupation of the west bank. I believe this is utter nonsense. The palestinians cannot yet be trusted to full self government, unless you want another militant arab state. While it is easy to point fingers at those with bigger guns and accuse them of bullying the palestinians and denying them freedom, think twice, do you really think the palestinians would be better off under another arab government? Sometimes i do not understand european bias towards israel.
