Ok, seems I got to apologize and correct myself over previous statement. First, I do not have anything against europeans personally. I’ve traveled in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Holland, England and Ireland, mostly having a great time meeting really nice people which were either excited to hear I’m from Israel, or didn’t care at all. I have family in France and Denmark, too, as well as many many friends all over Europe. So I don’t have anything against Europeans, really.
However, I am - like many jews - worried about anti semism that flourish in Europe at the moment. Israeli media reports it’s the strongest wave of Anti-Semism since World War II. I see demonstrations from different countries in Europe with people raising signs like Magen David equals Swastika and other hate signs. I don’t really know from here if it’s a minority or not, I just get both scared that I’m seeing Nazism raising it’s head again, while getting really pissed off. Even when I just want a little quiet from all the news and stuff, and just sit to see a basketball game on TV with my GF and another friend, suddenly the spanish fans start rising the same signs and throwing things on the Israeli players! At the same moment it happen you feel so angry, like a stupid rerun of the old Europe. And these are the people coming to lecture us for peace? Give me a break. I got some friends which came to Israel from France (did “aliya”) and they tell me that the majority of hate comes from arabs and arabs originated people living there. They spit every time they come cross a jew and that’s the ordinary thing there. As someone who never lived as a minority in a land I find it hard to accept. If someone had done that (not to mention bigger things like yelling or attacking) to me, I think I would have punched him. Racism should not be tolerated, cause it GROWS.
So, just to end this unexpected entry, I do not have anything against europeans at all. I am worried about the situation there, and I hope it’s just a bad period and it will be over soon. I’m sorry if anyone got hurt from something I said in a previous post. It was not my intention to generalize.
Note: I have wrote this entry since I got several reactions from europeans saying I was generalizing, so I decided to clear things out.

I have just read your piece about the European outlook toward the jewish people. I am not Jewish myself, but reading what you said saddened me greatly. I was born and live in England and must agree with you that feelings of hatred towards many other races are growing. I think many nations are becoming quite insular, due in part to the ever increasing refugee problems, and also the seemingly never ending Israel problems. God forbid that things ever decline to the Nazi-ism of before. I honestly believe that will never occur again, but share your concern over the direction of thinking.
One of the most difficult things about this whole issue is that each of us sees the conflict in a very different way. Often (in fact mostly!) our opinions are coloured by the press we read. Europe is not alone at the moment in its condemnation of Israel’s actions over the last few months. I live in Australia and here it is the same. However you are mistaken if you think this is racist anti-jewish feelings being expressed. This is coming from a perception that Israel is now the oppressor meating out "over-zealous" punishment to the Palestinians and inflicting their own hatred into the equation. No one could argue anything other than the fact that suicide bombers are an abomination and should be condemned BUT what most of the rest of the world sees is also "State-sponsored" terrorism by Israel. Israel has lost a lot of friends under Sharon. And speaking of racist attitudes. Does Israel allow the arabs living in its borders the right to vote?? Is not the restriction of this basic human right not a racist act. Israel needs to stop navel gazing and honestly address the problems that it faces and the obvious (but not easy) answer - land for peace. After all, it was Israel who was granted land in the first place that dispossessed a whole nation.
Anyway, let’s all live in peace. Have a great day.

I suggest to all the people in the world to stop being hypocrite, it is not anti Israel it is anti-semitism, because why don’t you come and claim against what that is going on in other parts of the world, does for example people in North Korea, Syria, or Iran have freedom and free elections? And do you care for what going on there, or how many people have been killed in Russia’s war on Chechnia?
