    BOO!
Came across your site while attempting to find a better search engine for my information systems study group. I have to reasearch Web technogies. I am also taking introduction to Internet and E-commerce. Yea, the class titles should be capitalized, but I do not care. I thought the Internet class was going to be more about e-commerce than HTML and JavaScript. my bad, and my headache. I am a business major and C++ made me just as sick. So I have admiration for anyone who can write anykind of code, and I know that HTML is not really a programming language, but heck if I can tell the difference. Anyhoo, found that you have done a very good job on this site. Good luck in all you do. Be safe and well. Write back if you like.

To be honest, I havent even checked out your site really. Just kind of thought earthcam would have cool video and ended up here. We will overcome terrorism. It has never succeeded and never will as a form of legitimate negotiation. But until media is opened up in that region, there will not be a universal understanding of either side. And maybe this is a naive American point of view, but it seems like religion comepletely engulfs everyones lives over there. Am I missing something?

    Hi,
Just read your post apologising for a previous post in re to Europeans and anti-semitism.
I am not a jew, and want you to know, not everyone hates the jews. I do not. In fact just the opposite is true! I think the media gives the arab nations more space than they should, and their propaganda machine is more powerful than Israels. But, don’t worry, there are many im America who don’t hate, but LOVE the jews!
    God Bless Israel!

hey, you, boy. nice site you got here…but i want to talk seriously to you. as an israeli citzen, you should know that the terrorism won’t stop while the palestinians live in a state of terror from israel beligerance…have you evewr stop to think why does this people do that things…DOU YOU REALLY THINK THEY DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE IN THEIR HOUSES WITH THEIR FAMILIES WITHOUT BEEN SHOT BY A WEEL-ARMED ARMY…i hope no.you israelians, should press your government, while there’s opression, israel won’t be safe.it’s quite simple.why do they put jewish stattements in palestinian areas, where they are not allowed to save water, cultivate agriculture, and they have to be submit to another country’s army…THE FACT IS THAT SHARON’S POLICY TO PALESTINIANS IS CAUSING DEATHS IN HIS OWN PEOPLE, AND HE DOESN’T SEEM TO CARE…all he wanna do is show strenght…you had the chance to have a good education, and go to university, you have the DUTY to make people know that terrorism is a consequence of suffer form a miserable people who holds on to this as its only way to resist…you know, every people resist from outter ocupation, and they just do this…thanx a lot, and think about it.love from brazil for you and your people.

It’s very easy to blame Sharon, but the fact remains that ghe was elected after Barak, who tried to give everything to the Palestinainas peacefull, but got refusal.
So if ther’s anyone to blame, is us, the whole Israeli nation. We are to blame for want to live our life peacefully. Most important: we are to blame for the Paelstinians _not understanding realistically what can be acheived and what not_. And, we are of course to blame for having the moral standards of not murdering civilians on purpose.

In short, don’t be fooled by your country, Brasil, one-sided, superficial media. The palestinians are acting stupidly, childishly, violently, were they could get the same goals in peace. Have you asked yourself why so many people are supporting Israel?

According to a UK Wahabi site - Khurasaan.com - the "end of days" must be near, because - are your ready? - "trees" are talking to Muslims, and telling them where to find IDF troops. Either that is a sign of the "khurasaan prophecy", or Israeli military intelligence is hiding transmitters on our leafed friends. After all, the jihidiots seem to be finding nothing but IDF bullets.

The Israeli government is making a big mistake by building a security fence along the Green Line. This will make it easier to attack the Israeli residents of the "eastern" side of the fence.

The correct solution is to fence in all the area A cities of the Palestinians.

This will allow for safe travel on the roads, let the Palestinians "rule" themselves, while providing security for all Israelies.

    Ahalan Ohad,

    "the story so far:"

As a raving "Race" fan myself, I was delighted to come across your excellent site. Well done, mate.

A little about me: I’m a 29 year old male Jerusalemite alo studying at the Hebrew Uni, on mt Scopus. I’m doing my 3rd year of my M.A. in geography and urban & regional studies. I’m a true & tried backpacker, having travelled in the far east, the middle east, europe and africa. I can’t wait to hit the road again in about a year and a half.

I thought my "race" fetish was personal but glad to see it’s not. mind you, as this is channel 8 there are a few re-runs to every episode, so you can at least tape what you can’t see real-time.

Like yourself, I find Jo Leach the lovliest and Jo Simpson the least amicable contestant. I also love Amanda. Kelli is very pretty, and Gareth (also good looking) is patronising her ("smirking", as they say). Andy’s a bit arrogant but cool. Niall’s OK, I guess. Dom is great.

It’s amazing how a gameshow could capture you so. After all, it’s just a TV show. But ITV have managed to hit the "nail on the head": following cool guys, our age, doing what we like to do best - travel. The show has some MTV and soap opera carachteristics, but is still one of the best I’ve seen ever. Too bad it’s over soon.

I’d love it if you could acknowledge this message so I know it hasn’t been written in vain. Also, I’ll probably get back to you with more comments soon enough.

I too am interested in physics and backpacking around the world. Have visited New Zealand, Western Europe, Ireland. I work as an electrical engineer in Alaska. I am interested in ways to creatively and positively support Israel, including visiting and seeing it. I also am interested in the possibilities of eventual Arab-Israeli synergy. It is such a waste that so much energy is being used up in conflict.

I managed to get to Salam’s blog yesterday (Friday), and the last entry I can see on the mirror is for Thursday. So, here are the two entries from Friday:

    :: Friday, March 21, 2003 ::

as usual Diane comes to the rescue
    IS SALAM PAX REAL?
please stop sending emails asking if I were for real, don’t belive it? then don’t read it.
I am not anybody’s propaganda ploy, well except my own.
2 more hours untill the B52’s get to Iraq.

    :: salam 7:05 AM [+] ::

The most disturbing news today has come from Al-Jazeera, they said that nine B52 bombers have left the airfield in Britain and flying “presumably” towards Iraq, as if they would be doing a spin around the block. Anyway they have 6 hours to get here.
Last night was very quiet in Baghdad. Today in the morning I went out to get bread and groceries. There were no Ba’ath party people stopping us from leaving the area where we live, this apparently happens after the evening prayers. But they are still everywhere. The streets are empty only bakeries are open and some grocery shops charging 4 times the normal prices, while I was buying bread a police car stopped in front of the bakery and asked the baker if they had enough flour and asked when they opened; the baker told me that they have been informed that they must open their shops and they get flour delivered to them daily. Groceries, meat and dairy products are a different story. One dairy product company seems to be still operating, not state owned, and their cars were going around the city distributing butter, cheese and yoghurt to any open markets. Meat is not safe to buy because you wouldn’t know from where and how it got to the shops. Anyway we bought fresh tomatoes and zucchini for 1000 dinar a kilo which would normally be 250. and most amazingly the garbage car came around.
The Iraqi Satellite Channel is not broadcasting anymore. The second youth TV channel (it shows Egyptian soaps in the morning and sports afterwards) also stopped transmitting. This leaves two channels: Iraq TV and Shabab (youth) TV. They are still full of patriotic songs and useless “news”, they love the French here. We also saw the latest Sahaf show on Al-Jazeera and Iraq TV, and the most distressing minister of Interior affairs with his guns. Freaks. Hurling abuse at the world is the only thing left for them to do.
On BBC we are watching scenes of Iraqis surrendering. My youngest cousin was muttering “what shame” to himself, yes it is better for them to do that but still seeing them carrying that white flag makes something deep inside you cringe.
we sit infront of the TV with the mao of Iraq on our laps trying to figure out what is going on in the south.

There is very corrupt group of jews which gave the whole nation a bad name. Let’s do like in time of the crusades and show those pig-eaters their way to hell! I mean: the middle east chrisis is a fruit of one big christian plot. If they lie about Jesus, how can they speak truth about anything else? Interesting site, however, I’d like to make a couple of points.

    1. USA gets different news to everywhere else. Compare US news sources and non-US news sources covering the same story, and you’ll see that US news is biased. It’s just the truth - I invite you to go find what i’m talking about.

    2. Palestine is an occupied territory, and where you like or hate Arafat, or the Hamas terrorists, Palestine is a nation being destroyed - that is just the truth.

    3. Nobody can directly help Palestine because Jamas have so much blood on their hands.
Palestinian terrorists kill a lot of people.

    4. Israel kills a lot of people, often children with large American helicopters and rockets.

    5. America kills a lot of people too, and many of it’s people are surrounded by a wall of ignorance.

    6. People who criticize a country, and usually listened to, carefully by people of that country, and if they are speaking the truth, they are respected.

    7. Nobody is allowed to criticize the USA, because - unlike other countries, Americans cannot tolerate it.

    8. When Israel voted for Sharon, it was basically because they wanted blood - in revenge for terrorism.

    9. The moslem religion worships a meteor, called the Hajj in mecca, that God threw at the world.

  47. emm
    June 7th, 2004

    | 10:10 am

I was sharply interrupted before I had a chance to proof my previous post. - so, let me just finish.

    10. Every generation has the right to live in peace, harmony, irrespective of whether you think they should be bombed, or whether their religion is crazy or not.

( That point is aimed at everyone. )

    11. Israel-Palestine is an ethnic conflict, not a religious one. Religion is more promiment here, because it was the birthplace of 3 religions.

    12. America and Europe have different attitudes, in some ways because America has a large proportion of fundamentalist Christians, whereas Europe has not.

    13. Germany cannot criticize Israel effectively, because they have a deep national shame at ww2 genocide. Besides, it’s illegal there.

    14. France can’t criticize Arab nations because they have guilt because they conquered them, and feel indebted. However, this means France is more tuned in to the thoughts of the Arab peoples.

    15. Some Americans are just racist against arabs, and view each moslem country as a state of some larger entity.

    16. A significant proportion of Americans are quite forward thinking, quite neutral and progressive.

If you come from outside the USA, then you should realise that Americans arent all low IQ blood-thirsty un-educated maniacs.

If you’ve never been to the USA you should check it out - however, just don’t talk politics.

    17. Peace IS Mutual Understanding. When you seek mutual understanding, you find peace.

    19. Bombs and helicopters dont bring death. If you vote for someone who will bring death, then you have bloodied your hands.

    20. The moslem religion can be highly intolerant of what it sees as infidels - especially it’s fundamentalist.

It believes that you can kill people of other religions for no real reason.

    21. The USA is the greatest liberator of arab nations, of all time.

    22. Palestinian people lost half the remainder of their country, because of Arafat’s rejection of terms. Now, it seems they will never get that back.

    23. People looked to the USA to solve the Middle-East crisis.

However, for some weird reason, the USA took sides.

    24. Because of the actions of the USA, people who would normally defend America are ashamed to do so.
When someone says unfair things about the USA, people say nothing, because they have already lost the argument.

Presumably this is part of what causes terrorism in poor countries.
